To get approved as an independent support worker on Mable you will need:
- An Australian Business Number (ABN)
- A police check from Checked Australia (obtained using the Apply for police check button in the your Mable profile)
- Two references
- To meet your state and/or territory’s COVID-19 vaccination requirements
- Completed infection control training
- Relevant qualifications (depending on the type of support work you will be providing)
- A profile photo
- A brief bio for your profile.
Once your account set-up is complete, Mable can begin the verification and approval process. Your account will only be approved once the necessary checks have been performed by Mable. These checks usually take five business days but please allow up to three weeks.
The account approval process is outlined below:
- The support worker sets up their account. This includes filling out work history, supplying us with two references, providing the relevant qualifications, completing your Checked Australia police check, and uploading Working With Children Check (if you intend to work with children).
- Once the account is set up, our registration team will contact their references. If the reference check is successful the account will move onto the next stage of approval.
- The account will then be reviewed by another team member who will verify that all of the required information has been provided.
- The will be approved and the support worker will receive an email confirming this.
Please allow up to three weeks for your account approval to be completed.
