COVID-19 Key Information

The safety and wellbeing of our community is always our priority. We are committed to supporting the Government, health officials and front line workers as they work to stem the COVID‑19 pandemic. Over the course of the pandemic, Mable has taken the threat of COVID-19 to our community seriously. We have continuously followed Public Health advice and monitored the Government’s responses to ensure we are taking steps and measures to ensure the safety of all using the Mable platform.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements

All States and Territories across Australia have implemented vaccination mandates for Community & In-Home Aged Care and Disability Support Workers. We have communicated these requirements to all relevant members of the Mable community in advance of any Government led mandate taking effect and have ensured that all independent support workers have self-declared their vaccination status by the relevant required dates, in order to continue providing support on the platform.

All independent support workers on Mable must declare their COVID-19 vaccination status on our platform, and have supporting evidence available on request.

Guidelines by State & Territory

There are current COVID-19 Restrictions across Australia, including mask mandates and contact tracing procedures.

Please refer to your relevant State or Territory Government’s website for more information as to how this applies to you.

Other Guidance

We recommend clients and service providers discuss how support can continue.

Independent Support Workers on Mable must declare whether they are up to date with the COVID-19 vaccination requirements for the state or territory they are delivering support in.

Clients have the right to request from their workers to view evidence supporting their vaccination status. An example of how clients may ask to view this evidence is: “Your Mable profile declares you are up to date with our state’s vaccination requirements, may you please show me your COVID-19 digital certificate?”

A worker on our platform may declare they have a medical exemption if they have a valid Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) – immunisation medical exemption form (IM011) form signed by an eligible doctor. Clients have the right to request from their workers to view evidence supporting their exemption status. An example of how clients may ask to view this evidence is: “Your Mable profile declares you have a medical exemption from COVID-19 vaccination requirements, may you please show me your exemption certificate?”

If a worker is not up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination status, they may offer remote support only through Mable, such as via video or phone calls.

We remind you of the importance of following COVID-19 infection control measures and continuing to use the Home Support Screening Tools and Guidelines before and during support sessions.

Please familiarise yourself with the “Good hygiene for coronavirus” guidelines provided by the Department of Health.

If you need evidence that you are providing an essential service, people providing care and support can access their ‘Support Worker ID’ on theirMable Mobile App.
