Mable is an online platform where people seeking aged care and disability support can connect with independent support workers who offer a range of support services, from personal care and social support to nursing and much more.

That’s not all — once the client and support worker have connected and mutually decided to work together, Mable supports this relationship every step of the way.

Finding, booking and managing support - all through Mable

Clients signed up on Mable can manage everything — right from searching for independent support workers to providing feedback about support — on the platform, via the website or the mobile app.

This includes:

  • Searching for independent support workers in your area
  • Messaging support workers through the app or the platform and arranging a meet and greet with your choice of support workers
  • Entering into an agreement with your chosen support workers on Mable, after mutually deciding the terms of the support work
  • Reviewing your support hours and support notes (which your family/carers can also view if you so choose) through the platform following your support sessions
  • Approving payments on the platform
  • Leaving reviews for your support workers
  • Reporting an incident through the platform that occurs during a support session

Aside from these, clients also have access to features that make finding, booking and managing support through the platform hassle-free:

  • Mable Last Minute, which allows clients to book support at short notice
  • Communicate with all your support workers through the platform or the app with our Team Chat feature (Only clients can create a new Team Chat with any support worker they have an active agreement with).

  • Certification checks
  • Infection Control Training
  • All support workers are required to have an Australian Business Number (ABN) to be able to provide support on Mable.

Police checks have been replaced by the NDIS Worker Screening Check. This is a mandatory requirement for all support workers on Mable. New support workers signing up to Mable require an NDIS Worker Screening Checks. Existing Mable support workers may use their existing checks until they are expired, at which time they must provide an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Mable support workers are covered by insurances

Every session booked on Mable comes with insurance to cover the support worker's actions while providing your care.

Finding, booking and managing support workers on Mable means you are protected by our safeguards, ensuring your support experience is smooth, hassle-free and enjoyable.

Disabled mums are the quiet supermums
As the water trickled over the rocks and my kids explored the bush, their laughter mingling with birdsong, I sat quietly on the wooden seat, taking it all in. The peace, the joy - but also something else. My eyes welled up just as my independent support worker glanced at me. She slipped an arm around me and gave a gentle squeeze. I didn't need to explain what I was feeling but she already knew. That feeling is something that I think every parent living with a disability needs to hear and embrace. But when you're parenting with disability, that feeling cuts deeper. It's the sting when you can't do something for, or with, your kids. Like driving them to a birthday party, kicking a soccer ball in the backyard. It's crying quietly in the kitchen when disability and parenthood all feels too much.
