Mable Last Minute: Another way of building your small business

In 2020, we noticed a major increase in the number of customers who needed to book support sessions at short notice. In response, our team created Mable Last Minute which allows customers to find support with as little as four hours’ notice.

What is Mable Last Minute?

Very simply, Mable Last Minute enables customers to find and connect with independent support workers for a session between 4 to 48 hours away. It could be that their regular support worker became unavailable for a shift or the customer may have been invited to a last minute event or had a medical appointment brought forward.

What are the benefits for you?

For independent support workers, Mable Last Minute could represent an opportunity to fill gaps in your availability and a way of meeting and working with new clients.

Sometimes, Last Minute jobs are pure and simple once-offs, but they can also result in gaining a new, ongoing client.

How can you get Last Minute jobs?

It’s as simple as registering your availability, whenever that may be.

Step 1: Log into the app
Log in to the Mable app on your smartphone. If you don’t already have the app on your phone, search Google Play or the App Store for ‘Mable’ and download.

Step 2: Opt in
Opt in to Mable Last Minute by using the toggle at the top of your Dashboard or Jobs screen. This will show that you are available for Last Minute jobs for the next 48 hours.

Important: Your Last Minute availability will automatically turn off after 48 hours and you will need to re-select it if you remain available.

Step 3: Respond and book
When you are set as ‘Available’, you will receive push notifications for Last Minute jobs. If a job is suitable for you, you can either write a response to the client to ask for more information, or you can put in an offer. If the person selects you for a job, you will receive confirmation and the system will automatically create and approve a Service Agreement based on the info provided by the client. You will still have to lodge a timesheet post-support session as per usual.
