As part of Mable’s commitment to privacy protection, we have an in-app call feature available to clients, independent support workers, support coordinators, organisations, and recovery coaches.

By selecting our in-app call feature, you do not need to share your own phone number when making a voice call through the Mable app.

This allows people to keep their phone number private, especially during the ‘meet and greet’ phase.

The voice call will be delivered through the Mable platform instead of a usual phone call, meaning phone numbers will not be revealed for all parties.

How to make an in-app call

In-app calls are available through client accounts. This feature will only become available once both parties have sent at least one message to each other on Mable.

Here’s how to make an in-app call:

  1. Firstly, log in to your desired client’s account
  2. Access the inbox. Then, select the name of the support worker you want to call.
  3. Select the phone icon in the top right-hand corner of your message history with the support worker
  4. A new tab will open, select Join call
  5. The support worker will receive a notification to join the call from their end.

We recommend that you message the worker to let them know when and what time you are planning to call them so they can keep an eye out for your call.

While Mable does not charge any fees for in-app calls, standard carrier charges may apply.
