Continuous learning is the key to professional development in any career.
For support workers, professional development can lead to better support for their clients and helps reduce errors and incidents. Attaining certain qualifications can also allow support workers to provide different types of services, such as personal care.
Independent support workers on Mable can upskill and grow professionally through the many courses and learning opportunities we have available.
Nat, a Registered Nurse who uses Mable, has enjoyed the opportunity to further her professional skills through the training opportunities offered by Mable. “Throughout the year, I dedicated myself to advancing my skills and professionalism. From updating my skills via the Mable Learning Hub, learning how to manage a business, engaging with the Mable Tax Benefits program, to starting a Cert IV in Training and Assessment – each step aimed at enhancing the quality of service I provide.”

Partnership with TAFE NSW
We’ve partnered with TAFE NSW to launch exclusive fully government-funded training opportunities for eligible independent support workers in CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability).
This nationally accredited training gives support workers the skills they need to work in the expanding aged care and disability sectors, through practical and theoretical course work.
Support hours completed through the Mable platform contribute towards the required work placement hours of the course.
Through completing CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability), independent support workers can offer additional services such as personal care, which requires a Certificate III or higher.

In-platform Aged Care Code of Conduct and SIRS training
Independent support workers can access 2 training tasks through the Mable platform to meet their obligations under the Serious Incident Reporting Scheme (SIRS) and the Code of Conduct for Aged Care (the Code).
This training is compulsory for all support workers working with a client who uses a Home Care Package to fund their aged care support. The training only takes 8 minutes to complete.
Growing careers with Mable
