We’ve introduced some helpful updates to the Mable platform to improve how you view and manage job applications from independent support workers.

These changes are designed to make it simpler for you to find the right support faster, with the most useful information up front.

Top applicants: View the best matches first

Now, when independent support workers apply to your job post, their applications will be automatically sorted, and the ones that best match your needs will appear first.

Here's how it works

We review the details you provide in your job post, like the type of support you need, your location, preferred days and times, and any other preferences, and compare them with each applicant’s profile. This includes their skills, qualifications, availability, and experience.

We also consider how workers have engaged on the Mable platform in the past. For example, the types of jobs they’ve completed, their responsiveness, and reliability.

Using all of this, we put the most suitable applicants at the top of the list. This makes it quicker and easier to find someone who meets your needs.

You’ll still be able to view every application that comes through. Nothing’s hidden, just better sorted to save you time and help you get the right support faster.

More helpful features for a smoother review process

We’ve also added a range of new features to application results to make reviewing and comparing applicants even easier.

  • Availability and indicative rates are now easier to find at a glance.
  • You can now view the support worker’s drive distance from you, so you know how far away they are.
  • We’ve added total hours worked on Mable to help you understand how active and experienced a support worker is.
  • New status labels like ‘New application’, ‘Conversation started’, and ‘Profile viewed’ make it easier to track where an application is at.
  • The Manage Workers page now shows only five applications per page (instead of 20) to help you focus and make confident decisions.
