This is an important question. Whether the relationship is an employee or contractor depends on a number of factors including:
- the number of hours worked
- whether it is ongoing
- how much direction or control is involved
- whether the care worker is required to wear a uniform.

Most care workers on the Mable platform are working for themselves, have multiple clients or provide services on a one-off or ad hoc basis. There may be instances where clients would like to engage a care worker in an employment relationship.
