What's changing
An overview of new requirements for NDIS and aged care
Mable is becoming a registered NDIS Platform Provider
We'll soon be lodging our application to register under the NDIS Commission's new "NDIS Digital Platform" category. It's an added commitment to further strengthen the safeguarding, quality and compliance that we currently strive for. It means you get the benefits of working with a registered platform without needing to register yourself.
The NDIS Worker Screening Check is now the standard
The NDIS Worker Screening Check sets a high standard that is recognised across the care sector. If you don't already have one, please apply for one today. Every support worker supporting NDIS participants needs to have their check completed by the end of the year, or they won't be able to provide services to NDIS participants.
New training for aged care (Support at Home) services
If you care for Support at Home clients, you'll need to complete free competency training through the Mable Learning Hub, covering person-centred care, trauma-informed practice, dementia care, emergency response, and the Aged Care Code of Conduct. Already completed equivalent training elsewhere? You may be eligible for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) exemption.
First Aid and CPR requirements for some services
If you provide nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychological services or personal care, you may need a current First Aid and/or CPR certificate (a statutory declaration is accepted for some services). Check the requirements below for what applies to you.

Please note: First Aid certificates must be renewed every 3 years; CPR certificates must be renewed annually.

What this means for you
Nothing changes about how you find clients, manage your schedule, or get paid on Mable. We're managing the registration process, the audit, and the policy updates ourselves. We'll keep guiding you through each step, with reminders, Help Centre articles and direct support along the way.
Your action checklist
- Check whether you hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check. If not, apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check today. Approval can take up to 8 weeks, and enforcement will begin from 15 October 2026, so it's best to apply as soon as possible to keep supporting your NDIS-funded clients without interruption.
- If you have Support at Home clients, complete your aged care competency training modules through Mable Learning Hub before November 2026.
- If you provide nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology or psychological services, check whether you need a First Aid and/or CPR certificate for your service type.
- Already completed equivalent training elsewhere? Get in touch with us, as you may be eligible for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) exemption.

Timeline for NDIS and aged care requirements
- 20 August 2025: NDIS Worker Screening Check became compulsory for new support workers on Mable.
- 1 July 2026: The new "NDIS Digital Platform" registration category opened for registration.
- November 2026: Aged care training and related First Aid/CPR requirements are due.
- 15 October 2026 to 31 December 2026: Platform restrictions start to apply where an NDIS Worker Screening Check has not been obtained yet.
- 1 January 2027: Platform Provider registration requirements formally commence.
