Mable Fee Update

Mable’s independent support worker fee remains unchanged at 10%.

When does the Mable client fee increase begin?
The Mable client fee will increase from 5% to 7.95% from Wednesday 22 March 2023.

The new client fee will be applied to existing agreements for support hours occurring after 22 March 2023.

The new client fee will not be applied to existing agreements for support hours before 22 March 2023.

Will this cause delays in payments?
You will not be required to make any changes to your existing agreements, they will automatically update with the new fee rate on 22 March 2023. We do not expect any payment delays.

As a client, do I need to take any action?
No, the fee increase is automatic effective Wednesday 22 March 2023

As a support worker, do I need to adjust my rates?
In most cases, no.

We will directly contact any support workers with NDIS-funded clients regarding the Mable client fee change.

As an independent support worker on Mable, you can review your pricing anytime by entering a new agreement with your client.

As a client, do I need to update my agreements?
No, the fee change is automatic effective Wednesday 22 March 2023.

Is the Mable support worker platform fee increasing?
No. The Mable support worker platform fee remains at 10%.

As a client, what does this change mean for my existing agreements?
The Mable client fee increasing from 5% to 7.95% represents an average of $1.49 extra per hour (based on average hourly rate of $52.84 on the Mable platform).

What if my existing agreements exceed cap rates as a result of this change?
As a result of Mable’s client fee increase, some existing agreements will likely exceed NDIS cap rates. That’s why these existing agreements at risk of exceeding NDIS cap rate will remain at a 5% client fee.

All other agreements (existing and new) will be updated with the new 7.95% client fee from 22 March 2023.

When was the last time Mable increased its client platform fee?
This is the first time Mable has increased any platform fee.

What client fee will be charged on invoices created on Wednesday 22nd March?
All invoices created on Wednesday 22nd March will include the 5% client fee. The new client fee will apply for invoices created after 22nd March 2023.

My timesheet didn’t get approved in time for the 22nd March invoice. Will I be charged the higher fee?
All support hours that occurred prior to 22nd March but lodged in timesheets after 22nd March will be charged at the rate of 5%.

I haven’t lodged my timesheet yet for support hours before 22nd March. What happens?
All support hours that occurred prior to 22nd March but lodged in timesheets after 22nd March will be charged at the rate of 5%.

What happens if I lodge timesheets after 22nd March that have support hours before and after 22nd March?
Don’t worry, the invoice will calculate the fee based on your agreement AND the date of the support hours. So those delivered before 22nd March will attract the 5% fee. Those delivered on or after 22nd March will attract the 7.95% fee.
