According to Dementia Australia, engagement with the creative arts can have a significant positive impact on wellbeing for people with dementia and their loved ones.
We’ve created a list of some great dementia-friendly art gallery tours and programs around Australia for you to experience:
Each month, the Logan Art Gallery offers discussion-based tours for people with dementia and their carers. During these group tours, participants are encouraged to contribute, through sharing knowledge, recalling memories and engaging in interpretation. After the tour, there’s a morning tea and an opportunity for informal socialising with the group.
