Online training from NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission available for sector workers

The NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission has designed a mandatory NDIS Code of Conduct for NDIS service providers and workers that provide support to participants.  This Code will come into effect nationally (excluding WA) from 1 July 2019, with WA to follow from 1 July 2020.
Designed to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of people with a disability, the Code of Conduct sets out expectations for safe and ethical services and supports for NDIS providers and workers.
To assist those working within the disability support sector to understand their obligations under the Code, the commission has developed an interactive online NDIS Worker Orientation Module “Quality, Safety and You”. The module takes about 90 minutes to complete, and workers can click through here to access it now.
As a business, Mable is committed to supporting quality and safeguard measures which reflect community and industry standards and place a strong value on best practice within the sector.
In fact, we believe that quality care delivery, worker expertise and competence is central to our platform.
Once the course has been undertaken, a certificate of completion will be issued by the Commission. Independent workers on Mable who have completed the module, and emailed it to Mable will have a badge included on their profile.
