Mable is an online platform that connects NDIS or HCP recipients looking for support with independent support workers. More than 18 million hours of support have been delivered through Mable over the last 10 years, enabling hundreds of thousands of people across Australia to live their kind of independence.

Signing up to Mable is free which means you can start searching and messaging support workers today. Independent support workers on the platform set their own hourly rates, which are displayed on their profile. You can discuss and agree the rate and schedule with each individual support worker before booking them.

Workers and clients agree on rates before support is delivered on Mable. The client pays this agreed rate plus 7.95%, while the independent worker receives the agreed rate less 10%.

No fees are charged until a client books a support worker and the services are delivered. All payments are made online and can be easily tracked via your timesheet and reports on your dashboard.

There are no set rates on Mable. Clients and workers agree on hours and rates above Mable’s $36 minimum hourly rate. To find out more about the average rates observed on the Mable platform, please visit our pricing page.

* The 32.4% online employed provider fee represents the difference between what the client pays and the support worker earns as a percentage per hour of support for disability support workers. The rate is taken from the current price guide on their website as at 31 August 2023. The traditional provider fee is based upon a sample of traditional providers offering services in disability and aged care. The fee represents the amount the client pays and the support worker earns as a percentage per hour of support. Prices have been taken from their websites as at July 2023.

** The Mable rate is based on an average weekday hourly agreed rate for social support and domestic assistance in aged care and disability support observed on the Mable platform from 1 January 2024 – 30 June 2024. It includes an agreed rate of $54/hour plus the Mable client fee of 7.95%, totalling $58. The online-employed platform rate displayed is the hourly rate to consumers (including superannuation) of $59.95/hour for weekday shifts occurring between 6.00am and 8.00pm. The rate is taken from the current price guide on their website as at 31 August 2023. The traditional provider rate is taken from the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2024-2025, valid from 1 January 2024. The line item is: – Assistance with Self Care Activities- Standard – Weekday – Daytime, item number 01_011_0107_1_1_T of $66.45.
