Here are some important elements of Mable you should remember as you continue to receive support from your existing team and engage new workers.

Industry leading Insurance

Mable has partnered with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance to arrange industry-leading insurances on behalf of independent workers for every support session invoiced via Mable, protecting both you and your workers.

All services* invoiced through Mable are automatically covered by industry leading Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances along with Personal Accident cover for the workers if they injure themselves while supporting you.

When comparing insurances provided by similar platforms, or by other insurers, you may find that not all policies provide this level of cover. Most only provide public liability cover, which could leave you and your workers at risk.

Accepting support services can inherently involve risk. Things can go wrong, incidents can occur and it’s crucial that you’re protected when you need it the most.

The insurances arranged on behalf of independent workers offering services via the Mable platform provides, for example, cover for various services such as medication assistance, manual handling and nursing services (when they are approved to provide these services via Mable).

Just ensure that all support sessions are logged and approved via the Mable platform, so that you and your independent workers are covered for every hour of support. If you’d like to read the insurance fine print, you can do so here.

Stringent onboarding checks and continued renewal reminders for workers using the platform

To become approved to provide support via the Mable platform, workers must have an ABN, current police check and, if relevant, a current working with children check.

Our background and qualification checks require personal care workers to evidence that they have experience or training to provide the services they’re offering. Nurses and Therapists are required to provide their registration details which we check with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

However our quality and compliance controls don’t stop there. The platform monitors the expiry of these checks and automatically notifies workers of their need to renew their checks in order to continue providing services. Should these lapse, or we are notified of changes to the status of these checks, these workers will not be able to continue providing services via Mable. It’s important for you and your loved ones that these ongoing protections are in place.

Payment infrastructure supporting a professional relationship with full transparency

All the agreements you have with your independent workers, shift notes, timesheets, and a record of all your billings and invoices, are all stored on Mable and available at any time in one central place. Mable enables you to have full oversight and visibility of timesheets your workers are submitting, allowing you to approve them or request clarification, up to 24 hours after submission. Once approved, we collect payment on behalf of your workers from wherever you hold your funding to ensure they receive their payments. This helps to reduce the stress of having to handle financial interactions with your workers, so you can focus on building relationships with them.

We work directly with your funding organisations, such as Plan Managers and our network of Approved Home Care Providers to manage and simplify payment administration on your behalf.
