What I look for when hiring a support worker

Hayley has a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), uses an electric wheelchair and needs support and assistance for most of her physical needs. Twenty-six year old Hayley has Undergraduate Degrees in Psychology and a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication from the University of Western Sydney and now works at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in the city. Three years ago she started at PwC as an online channels consultant within the Corporate Affairs Team.

Since June 2014 Hayley has enjoyed an independent living experience in a Northcott Transitional home in Petersham where she employs her team of Support workers to assist in her personal care on a daily basis. She explains what she looks for when employing her Support Team in the following video:
