If you need assistance with your digital device, Apple stores across the nation provide daily basic classes addressing how to use your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac. All you’ll have to bring to the lesson is your own device to help you follow along. Apple’s lessons will get you understanding the basics of using your device, help you stay up to date and use built-in apps. Telstra has recently partnered with the Government to create the Tech Savvy Seniors Program to ensure Australian seniors develop their digital skills and confidence to connect online. Their site provides free self-teach video lessons on how to use a mobile phone, computer, tablets, social networks and more. Telstra also has an AUSLAN option for the hearing impaired. If you’d like to get a hands-on experience, the Program is available in many languages at hundreds of community colleges and libraries across the country – you can register for training here.
