When we think about home care, more often than not, we’re thinking about the needs of our ageing loved ones. But whether you’re recovering from a fall, managing a long-term illness or recuperating after a sports injury, it’s likely you will need a little support to get by at home. With Mable, you can jump online and find that support could be just around the corner.
After every major surgery or illness, there is a need for a period of recovery. Whether that looks like a few days of comfort food and TV binges, or long-term intensive physiotherapy, you might need support to get by at home.
Mable is a safe and easy online platform where thousands of Australians who are ageing, or those with disability, directly engage independent support workers in their local area. If you’re recovering from major surgery or an illness, it’s also the perfect way to find flexible, affordable support from qualified independent nurses and allied health professionals in your neighbourhood.
How Mable works
Here at Mable, we like to think of ourselves as a revolution in community care. We’re on a mission to improve access to affordable, flexible, quality support and care for Australians everywhere. Here’s how we work, in three easy steps:
Step 1: Sign up and search
You can sign up for free, and start searching for available independent workers in your area. Our advanced search filters mean you can search based on criteria that’s important to you.
Need a nurse who can assist with managing your medication? You can narrow your search to those who have the right qualifications. Looking for someone who can provide you with transport, who also has a good sense of humour? You can search for that, too. Seeking someone who can cook for you, and who’s happy to take your dog for a walk? Yep, them too.
Step 2: Connect
You can select the independent workers you might like, and contact them directly via the platform to get to know them better. You agree rates, hours and services that work for you both.
If you need support fast, you can post a job which will be sent to all relevant, available independent workers providing support directly to clients in your area.
Step 3: Pay online and get the support you need
Only pay for the hours you receive, at a price agreed between you and your support workers. You have the flexibility to agree different rates for different services or experience. Once you’ve agreed on an hourly rate, you only pay this rate plus 5%.
Before you sign up, see who’s offering support in your local area by searching today.
