Here’s how you can get started as a client on Mable.

So, you’re ready to find in-home aged care, disability support or short-term support that suits you, your lifestyle and your preferences. The great news is, you’ve discovered the perfect option!

Mable, formerly Mable, is a platform created to give freedom of choice and control back to you. Mable is all about celebrating each client’s important preferences, support needs and lifestyle goals and our platform puts each client in the driver’s seat on their support journey.

Let’s get started! The Mable community of support workers and clients is nationwide – and always growing. To check out how many support workers are in your local area, visit mable.com.au and enter your suburb or postcode.

Then, hit search and voila! A list of independent support workers in the region you searched will appear. If you want to widen your search, you can always enter a neighbouring suburb or postcode.

Join a growing support community

Want to take a closer look at an independent support worker via Mable? To do so, you’ll need to sign up for free. When you sign up, we ask you to provide some key information about you and your support needs, including your name, age, whether you’d like support for yourself or someone else, your postcode, what type of support service you’d like and how many hours you’d like to receive support.

Once that’s out of the way, you’re all set to start connecting to workers!

Let’s get talking

Now that you’re onboard the Mable platform, you can visit any worker’s profile and hit “Contact To Book” to get connected.

 

Through your inbox on Mable, you can organise all aspects of your support:

  • When and how often you’d like support,
  • How much you’re willing to pay your worker for their services as a flat or hourly rate,
  • And where the support will take place.

Here at Mable, we encourage all new clients to organise a meet and greet with any potential support workers so you can become familiar with them, their personality and skills before you receive their support. Most workers on the Mable platform offer a free first hour for the purposes of a meet and greet.

To finalise support sessions, you’ll need to request an agreement from the independent worker after you’ve negotiated all aspects of the support, including rate of pay, hours of support and dates on which the sessions will take place.

You can finalise this by hitting “Request Agreement” which you’ll find to the right of the message history with your worker. This will prompt them to write a short agreement detailing all aspects of your support, which they will send to you via the platform. If you’re happy with the agreement, you can “Accept” it. If you would like to suggest amendments to the agreement, you can select “Decline”.

So, what happens after the support session?

Once your support session finishes, your worker will need to login to Mable and submit a timesheet session. To ensure the worker is paid for their services, you’ll need to approve the timesheet within 24 hours of it being submitted. If you don’t get around to approving the session within that time, the timesheet will be automatically approved.

By selecting “Timesheets” on your Mable dashboard, you can check any timesheets waiting to be approved. Once approved, our platform will automatically process the correct payment to your worker.
