Care Factor Report 2023

For almost 10 years, we’ve helped connect independent support workers with those in need of help. So it’s no surprise to us that Aussies are a caring bunch, according to our Care Factor Report.

The Care Factor Report details how and why we care, and shows how to harness this care factor to help people with disabilities or older people in the community.

The future is full of potential for Aussies that care

The care and support workforce is arguably one of the most essential. It supports Aussies in living life to its fullest and with dignity.

With around 720,000 care and support workers expected to be needed by 2049–50*, the future is full of potential for those that care.

The report clears up common misunderstandings around support work, such as earning potential, expenses, and tasks involved.

About the report

The Care Factor Report, commissioned by Mable, was independently researched by leading research agency, Researchify. The research sample was 1,000+ Australians aged over 18 years and is statistically representative of the nation based on the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data. Of the respondents, there was a 50/50 balance among those who identified themselves as males and females and about 1% of those who identified as non-binary. The research was conducted via an anonymous online survey between 18–30 January 2023.
