In 2008, Carnegie Mellon University collaborated with the University of South Australia and the National Railway Museum to develop a series of educational, interactive displays for the historical ‘Tea and Sugar Train’.
One of the many tasks I undertook during the six month project was to produce and provide art direction for a short (9 minute) documentary about the people who worked and lived ‘along the line’.
This is one of several animated sequences I created for the documentary, and was used as an introductory element for the film.
I had a very tight deadline of five days, so opted for simplistic, silhouette style.
